Description: Randeep Singh Hooda is an Indian actor who works in Bollywood films. His mother, Asha Hooda, is a social worker and his father, Dr. Ranbir Hooda, is a surgeon by profession. He made his film debut in Monsoon Wedding (2001), where he played an NRI (Non Resident Indian). He got the role in the film primarily because of his Australian accent. However even after a powerful performance in Monsoon Wedding he had to wait for four years to get a second project. Ram Gopal Varma cast him as lead in the gritty gangster flick D (2005). D was a turning point in his career. The D which supposedly portrayed Dawood Ibrahim's real life gave Hooda a grand entry into tinsel town.In 2010, he played the ACP of Mumbai crime branch in the film Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai. Ketan Mehta’s much awaited Rang Rasiya has finally seen the light of day and it has proved to be worth the wait. It tells the tale of Raja Ravi Verma (Randeep Hooda) and his pursuit to express himself through his art. He is inspired by our folk heritage of eroticism and believes that contemporary art should also reflect the ideals of works like the Kama Sutra. At one point, he comes across a prostitute Sugandha (Nandana Sen) who agrees to be his muse. A bond slowly builds between them as he paints scandalous nude painting of Sugandha. They eventually face backlash from society and specially Dharam Guru played by Darshan Jariwala who is against Verma’s attempts at painting gods and goddesses. Much like the protagonist, Mehta and cinematographer Anil Mehta have painted this film on a bright and colorful canvas. For a film which has been stuck in limbo for over five years, Rang Rasiya does not look dated and holds up very well. The love-making scenes are tastefully executed and the aesthetics are spot on. Sanjeev Datta and Ketan Mehta have done a fine job with the script which isn’t exactly a complete period piece but rather straddles the line between period-drama and early industrialization. Randeep effortlessly portrays the role of Raja Ravi Verma while Nandana Sen is perfect as Sugandha. The supporting cast holds up well and music by Sandesh Shandilya complements the movie. Overall, Rang Rasiya may cater to a niche audience but it does not hold back in its vision. This one is for the cinema-lovers who will find a lot to love in Ketan Mehta’s Rang Rasiya which deserves nothing less than 4 stars.
Even as Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen’s Rang Rasiya is stuck in limbo thanks to a legal notice filed by Raja Ravi Verma’s grand-daughter, some enterprising youtube user has leaked uncensored footage from the film. It is supposedly part of the Kahe Sataye of the song and shows a slow buildup of their love-making. The video goes from exotic to XXX rated the moment Randeep pulls off Nandana’s saree. The actress appears to be topless in the video with just paint smeared all over her body. We feel she could be wearing a fitting body-suit underneath but you can check out the video below and let us know what you think. A little birdie tells us that Randeep and Nandana were quite comfortable with each other while shooting for this song and we can indeed see how much they are enjoying it! The film is based on the life of famous painter Raja Ravi Verma played by Randeep Hooda and his gorgeous muse played by Nandana Sen. You can watch the video below and let us know what you think!
Randeep Hooda looks suave and dapper in the film stills of Prawaal Raman’s Main Aur Charles. Randeep portrays the role of the charismatic serial killer Charles Sobhraj in the film which will focus on Sobhraj’s famous escape out of Tihar jail back in 1986. Pooja Bhatt was initially involved with the project which was titled Bad. She opted out due to certain creative issues but director Prawaal Raman stuck to the project and changed the name to Main Aur Charles. The shooting of the film has completed and we should hear of a release date soon. Don’t you think Randeep looks uncannily like the original Charles Sobhraj?
Birthday girl Neha Dhupia may still have kept her Miss India looks intact, if not her career. And that’s not something that’s gone unnoticed by Randeep Hooda. The actor, who co-stars with her in Rensil D’Silva’s Ungli, made a pass about her assets on Twitter. There may be politer ways to wish someone a happy birthday but Randeep isn’t inclined for good boy behavior just yet. He tweeted and we quote: @NehaDhupia God bless you (and your behind) ..Always. The offbeat birthday wish was punctuated with a smiley. We aren’t sure if Neha is flattered at the compliment or if she’s annoyed enough to show him the ‘Ungli’ or finger. Do you think that was an inappropriate tweet or an irreverent one? Comment and let us know what you think, or if you intend to tweet the same thing to an unsuspecting friend on their special day.
