In 1990, she married Delhi-based businessman Mukesh Aggarwal, who committed suicide in 1991. She was rumoured to have been married to actor Vinod Mehra in 1973, but in a 2004 television interview with Simi Garewal she denied being married to Mehra referring to him as a "well-wisher". REKHA IN NEWS
One of the long standing mysteries in Bollywood is the secret behind Rekha’s sindoor. The eternal diva is unmarried and yet always sports a vermilion in public. While most people think its simply a style statement, many have a more juicier explanation though few rarely speak about it. However one person who couldn’t resist commenting on it is Puneet Issar’s wife. Deepali Issar recently declared that Rekha wears sindoor for Big B! Rekha and Bachchan’s romance was a hot topic back in the 70s and fans of the couple love sparking off such rumors. However, Deepali’s motives seem more sinister in nature, Rekha had recently snubbed her hubby Puneet inside the Bigg Boss house and it seems like Mrs. Issar is out for blood. The Issar - Bachchan feud is an old one, remember back when Puneet had punched Big B in the stomach while shooting for Coolie? Being the massive diplomat that he is, we know Big B won’t respond but our eternal diva may not stay silent!
Trust Rekha to pull off any role with ease. We bring you some exclusive shots of the talented actress as the mysterious begum from Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor. Fitoor is a desi adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations with Rekha playing the role of Mrs Havisham, the conniving old lady who always wears her wedding dress. We figure even Rekha is in her wedding outfit in these pics where she is seen wearing a red anarkali dress by Manish Malhotra. We hear that this particul

Aditya will be playing a young Kashmiri artist in the film who falls for Katrina’s character. But Rekha is the Begum is the major hurdle in their romance. Even Ajay Devgn is supposed to play a small but important cameo. After his gruff and buffed up demeanor in Daawat-e-Ishq, its nice to see Aditya Roy Kapur back in his sweet, chocolate boy avatar. It has been a relatively dull weekend at the box office for Bollywood fans. Rekha’s Super Nani released to empty screens throughout the country and surprisingly a movie like Roar has emerged has the better performer. While Super Nani barely scraped 95 lakhs in two days, Roar managed to earn 3.4 Crores despite not having any big names attached to it. Clearly SRK’s Happy New Year is still dominating at the box office, plus the two big budget Hollywood flicks, Fury and Gone Girl seems to have eaten away the box office share in big centres. Rekha’s comeback verhicle Super Nani was not expected to shatter any records at the BO but this is a dismal opening when you take into consideration that its an Indra Kumar movie with stars like Rekha and Sharman Joshi involved.
Super Nani is directed by Indra Kumar and stars Rekha, Sharman Joshi, Randhir Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Rajesh Kumar and Shweta Kumar in lead roles. The movie is based on the Gujarati play, Baa Ae Maari Boundary. The movie is about Bharti Bhatia, played by Rekha, married to Mr Bhatia played by Randhir Kapoor. The movie portrays how her 2 children and especially her husband have absolutely no respect for her and think that her role should be confined only to the kitchen. Just like her son, even her daughter in law has absolutely no respect for Rekha and considers her a nuisance. The turnaround comes when Manorath, played by Sharman Joshi, whose Nani is Rekha, comes from the U.S for a holiday to visit her and finds what a sorry state she lives in. He helps her reinvent herself and involve her in the world of modeling along with Anupam Kher, who is an ad film director. Super Nani starts off by copying a popular YouTube video clip which was doing the rounds during Mother's Day. The movie, however, shall give you the feeling that you have been transported back to the 80's era of Bollywood where the typical family scenario of the hapless mother and evil family members was one of the typical story lines along with the emphasis of melodramatic music to emphasize each and every emotional overtone. The fact that you are in the 80's is reinforced finally when you see Randhir Kapoor enter the frame wearing a coat with a shiny pink tie. But this movie makes you laugh..a lot. Whether it is the house maid who is Hulk's cousin sister, or the hilarious scene between the daughter in law and SRK, the movie guarantees you a regular laugh. And yes, SRK, is in this movie, but is he the real SRK? Well, you’ll have to watch the movie to find out. And herein lies the frankness of Indra Kumar to unabashedly show this film as an extension of the 80’s family drama, he knows what he is doing, and it Super Nani, believe it or not, comes across as the family version of Kanti Shah's movies. The music is composed by Harshit Saxena and Sanjeev-Darshan is mostly forgettable. As far as the acting goes, Sharman Joshi portrays the loving grandson with full dedication and carries off his role well. Rekha essays her transformation to the in demand model very well as we seep into the second half and only she can carry off the transformation into a stylish diva on screen at her age. She commands the movie during her scenes with an ability which she has acquired over her years as an accomplished and renowned actress of Hindi cinema. Randhir Kapoor is supposed to depict the stubborn, selfish husband and stays true to his character. The maid, who is Hulk's cousin, brings a lot of power to the screen with her solid vocals and punchlines, which she delivers well. And then there is Anupam Kher, who we do get tired of complimenting, because he manages to carry off every role that he is offered with conviction and ease. All in all, the movie is a good family entertainer and we shall go with 3 stars for this movie.
The timeless diva Rekha, who has been doing the tour of various TV shows in order to promote her upcoming film Super Nani, recently floated into the sets of Bigg Boss. She even went into the house and spent a grand time with all the hapless inmates. And while the Umrao Jaan star became very pally with the entire lot, she seemed to purposely give Puneet Issar the cold shoulder. We can’t help but wonder if it had something to do with the fact that Issar had accidently injured Amitabh Bachchan during the shooting of Coolie. Rekha’s love for Big B is no secret and it was right before the Coolie accident that their rumoured romance was in full swing. Sources claim that while the superstar was recovering from his injury, he grew closer to his family and wife Jaya Bachchan and since then has kept his distance from Rekha. So in a way one can almost understand why Rekha would blame Issar for raining on her parade. But still that was almost 30 years ago, don’t you think this diva needs to learn to let bygones be bygones?
