Hasee toh Phasee – Rom Com exceeding your Expectations. Raw Fresh Chemistry. Hasee toh Phasee may be old but the movie is as fresh as its tag line - Cucking Frazy. Not only it does lives up the expectation it exceeds your expectation. It has never a dull moment. Parineeti Chopra steals the show brilliantly along with Siddarth Malhotra. However, what’s make this movie an interesting watch is the brilliant screenplay well executed. Karan Johar along with Anurag Kashyap’s production brings you yet another fresh pairing with the fresh director swinging away this rom com and magic is created. The movie starts with the little ones leaping 14 years and you see the fresh Parineeti and Siddarth aka Meeta & Nikhil respectively. They meet in a runaway encounter firing the intensity a love story shall have in a sophisticated way. They meet they depart and they meet again. With hardly any songs prior to the interval they make you smile, laugh and go cucking frazy throughout. Parineeti’s character is well developed as a freaking scientists who keeps popping pills to shed away her stresses and at the same time convincingly helps Siddarth loose on stress natural way. Nikhil an event manager in love with the model-cum star-Adah Sharma and on the road map of marrying her is what leads this into a brilliant rom com. You have everything what a karan Johar movie may have. A growing wedding drama with a grandeur family influenced by Barjatya’s. Well influenced would be more correct. Anurag Kashyap’s intensity in Parineeti’s performance. Vinil Matthew’s direction. Music is less you hardly have any songs slowing down the screenplay – post interval you may have one or two songs beautifully integrated to make the love bond strong. Climax may take you back to some of the famous romantic rom-coms seen already on the celluloid yet they succeed to make it an interesting watch. Siddarth’s second movie helps him grow as an actor; he does go easy on screen however the HERO of the movie is Parineeti Chopra who with her effortless takes make this movie a must watch and a wonderful romcom where you will have a smile on your face throughout along with some hilarious scenes movie has. As rightly said Hasee toh Phasee, spend some good money on this one this weekend and make your family earn some smiles. A perfect date movie to watch just around the valentine. PK Verdict: GOLD PLUS(****1/2)

Dharma Productions' and Phantom's Hasee Toh Phasee is out but is it every bit as 'cucking frazy' as the movie's tagline promises? Lets find out. Hasee Toh Phasee is a story about opposites attracting each other. It revolves around Nikhil (Sidharth Malhotra), a confused young man trying to unsuccessfully find the true calling of his life who unintentionally gets involved with Meeta (Parineeti Chopra), a madcap gujju gal who has obvious emotional problems in life. The two are highly incompatible but what happens when the two are caught up in unusual circumstances is what Hasee Toh Phasee is all about. A zany rom-com filled with eccentric one liners (penned by Vinil Mathew and Anurag Kashyap) and the lead pair getting up to every kind of craziness makes Hasee Toh Phasee a good laugh. A feel-good film filled to the brim with a lot of comedy, romance and general craziness and mayhem, Hasee Toh Phasee is fresh, simple, fun and young, like a breath of fresh air but still with a slice of life feel about it. At one point in the film Parineeti says there is no guarantee for anything in life but one thing we can guarantee is that you will come out of this movie with a smile on your face. Having said that the script gets a bit wobbly a couple of times but is for the most part well balanced. Music by Vishal Shekhar has nothing new to offer. Like oxygen and double hydrogen, the lead pair shares an excellent chemistry. The hilariously adorable Parineeti Chopra is at her wackiest best and is definitely the true star of the movie. Sidharth Malhotra is endearing and shows immense growth since his debut. Manoj Joshi, Anil Mange, Sharat Saxena, Neena Kulkarni and Adah Sharma make their presence felt. Vinil Mathew does very well in his debut directorial venture and one looks forward to many more enjoyable films from him. If you want to catch a good romantic film as a precursor to Valentine’s Day, pop in to watch the quirky, new age, three star, romantically sweet Hasee Toh Phasee.
