The Censor Board has remained in the news lately for its proposal to cut out many strong words from movies. While that proposal has been turned down for now Anushka Sharma must have been definitely worried about her upcoming movie NH 10 clearing the censor scrutiny. However, it looks like the film has made it through with just 9 cuts.
The film will release with an 'A' certificate and censor chief Pahlaj Nihalani revealed that they have been liberal with the cuts considering that the film deals with the subject of woman empowerment. Talking about the censor cuts, director Navdeep Singh said, “Three members on the panel objected to the violence, more than the cuss words, arguing it was unfit for public viewing. Two others were willing to clear the film with an 'A' certificate with a few cuts.”
NH 10 is a violent and gritty film starring Anushka Sharma and Neil Bhoopalam as a couple who are assaulted by a gang of criminals.
