The latest buzz surrounding Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor is that Rekha has walked out of the project. Fitoor is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations and Rekha was playing the all important role of Miss Havisham. We hear that she wasn’t happy with the way her character was shaping up and hence decided to quit the project. What is unusual is that she walked out of the film after a major chunk had already filmed.
UTV however has managed to replace her with the only actress possible - Tabu. The Haider star has stepped into Rekha’s shoes and apparently the cast and crew is quite happy with her. In an official statement Aditya Roy Kapoor, the lead actor of the movie stated, “Tabu has given some incredible performances in 'Maqbool', 'The Namesake' and 'Haider' to name a few. She is an actress who has always accepted challenges and I am honored to have her in my film.”
