Himesh Reshammiya is back in a leaner, meaner avatar in Shawn Arranha’s Teraa Surror, let’s what he has to offer us this time.
Teraa Surroor is an action packed tale of romance with Himesh playing the role of an assassin named Raghu. But he is a killer with a heart, and he is truly and madly in love with his fiance Tara. But as luck would have it, poor Tara played by Farah Karimaee finds herself wrongly jailed in a Dublin prison. Now it’s upto our badass hero to get in there and save her. But that’s not all, the mastermind of this entire plot is a Keyser Soze like figure named Anirudh Brahman, a plot element that provides plenty of intrigue and twists and turns. What follows is an action packed joyride that proves to be a treat for the senses.
If there is one thing Teraa Surroor proves it’s this - Himesh Reshammiya is one tough guy. Inspite of whatever critics might say, he keeps reinventing himself and coming back for more and with Shawn Arranha’s Teraa Surroor, Reshammiya finally seems to have hit the nail on the head. He is fitter than ever and has never looked as good as he does playing the uber cool assassin Raghu. Whether he is bashing baddies or indulging in all out gunfights, Reshammiya proves to be an excellent action star. Credit is also due to director Shawn Arranha for making such excellent use of the talent in his hands. While Farah Karimaee does a fair job, the other cast members like Shekhar Kapur, Kabir Bedi and Naseeruddin Shah are all at their usual best.
It goes without saying that the music of this Himesh Reshammiya flick is very good. Overall, what the film lacks in substance, it more than makes up for with style. We shall go with three stars for this very entertaining flick.
