On Friday, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was shooting for Padmavati in Jaipur. His upcoming and most awaited historical drama – Padmavati is in the news since they started shooting. This is a big one because the director himself has got slapped and beaten up by the members of Rajput Karni Sena on the sets.
Wasn't it wrong on the part of the Rajputs to beat up a filmmaker? According to the members of Rajput Karni Sena, the film distorts the history of the Rajput Queen Padmini. The tamasha that has happened in Jaipur was too big of a controversy for this reason. A letter by the Sena would've been a better option than beating him up. What do yout think?
Mr. Bhansali himself has assured them that the story is in its purest form and there is no distortion. Also, his team has clarified in a letter to the Rajput groups that "there is no romantic dream sequence or any romantic scene between Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji." Now, Rajput Karni Sena demands the film to be reviewed before its release. The lead actress of Padmavati, Deepika Padukone tweeted: "I can assure you that there is absolutely no distortion of history. Our only endeavour is and has always been to share with the world the story of this courageous and powerful woman in the purest form there is."
So many controversies during the shoot itself, makes us wait for this film more eagerly!
