Hot on the heels of Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 arrives Sunny Leone’s Mastizaade, a sex comedy that touches new lows of cinema.
Mastizaade tells the tale of two ad-filmmakers played by Vir Das and Tusshar Kapoor who pose as sex addicts. They basically go around shooting raunchy TVCs for condom brands and land up falling in love with the Lele twins, both played by Sunny Leone. Laila and Lily Lele run a sex-rehab centre and naturally have to be skimpily dressed all the time. The entire story is just an excuse to parade Miss Leone in a bikini all the time and to crack stupid sexual innuendoes. Its marvelous how the writers manage to find something vulgar in the most mundane of circumstances.
Mastizaade shares the same writers as Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 but this Milap Zaveri film manages to touch new lows. Not only are the sex jokes offensive and disgusting at times but the constant homosexual stereotypes will get on your nerves. The makers hold nothing back to offend and disgust viewers at every turn, so much so that the movie becomes unwatchable at times.
Coming to the performances, Sunny Leone is gorgeous as ever and manages to ooze sexiness in every frame. Tusshar and Vir Das seem to do a good job of playing a pair of sex addicts. Nobody is winning any Filmfares for their performances here, that’s for sure.
Overall, if mindless sex comedies is your thing, please go for this movie. However, be warned, this is the sort of movie that can put off even the most hardcore fans of the genre. We shall go with one and a half star for this film.
