Arvind Swami seems to be on a roll. The actor who received acclaim for his negative character in Thani Oruvan last year is signing back-to-back films. It was recently reported that he would essay the lead role in the remake of Mollywood film Bhaskar The Rascal, which will have him portraying the role enacted by Mammooty in the original. He also has Sathuranga Vettai 2 with Trisha as the female lead. Now, it is heard that the actor will join hands with veteran director Selva for a film. The duo had earlier worked together for Pudhayal.
A source says that Swami will play a cop in it. "The film is likely to commence it’s shooting from this month itself, and he will be seen as a tough cop. If everything goes well, Imman will be roped in as the music director for this project. The details regarding the remaining cast will be decided soon." After being a hugely successful actor in Bollywood and then Kollywood too Arvind took a break from acting after which he was nearly forgotten. However he has a friend in Mani Ratnam who once again brought him into the limelight in Kadal and after that
it has been business as usual for Arvind.
