Kollywood is getting to hear some bizarre claims from people. The sister of actor Dhanush says her family is undergoing a lot of tension over an elderly couple's claims that Dhanush is their long separated son. Such claims are generally made when the person is just a child but Dhanush is well into his late twenties and this claim is strange. Vimala Geetha says no matter what, her family is standing together and intends fight the case. Dhanush was also upset after a few private pictures of his were leaked online.
On Sunday, Vimala, a dentist by profession, wrote a moving Facebook post which was then deleted. She said Dhanush -- a popular film celebrity and son-in-law of megastar Rajinikanth -- achieved stardom through hard work and sacrifice. "Success comes with a price I guess. Act of revenge in all ways possible and character assassination. Is this what an actor who tortures himself so much to entertain his fans and people of Tamil Nadu deserves?" she asked. The claim is being made by a couple and the Judicial Magistrate Court on Friday directed Dhanush to appear before the court in a petition filed by a couple who claimed that they were his parents but he allegedly refused to provide them any maintenance. Kathiresan (60) and his wife Meenakshi (55) are residents of Malampatti in Melur taluk and claimed that Dhanush was one of their three children and that he was born at Government Rajaji Hospital in the city and that his real name was Kalaiselvan and he did his schooling up to standard X at R C Higher Secondary School and later at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Melur. They claim that Dhanush discontinued his studies and went to work in the Chennai film industry, where he joined hands with director Kasthuri Raja. The petitioners said that despite multiple attempts, they could not meet the national-award winning actor. They petitioned the courts to direct Dhanush to provide them maintenance of Rs 65,000 per month.
