Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal - Trailer review
Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal - Trailer review

When they said that the kings of entertainment would turn up on screen, they meant it. Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Asrani, Neeraj Vohra and Nana Patekar feature in and have you glued to the trailer of Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal!

From what is shown, you can make out that the story is set in a village. Om Puri and Paresh Rawal fall for the same lady, and while Om Puri ends up marrying her, the dejected Paresh Rawal sets out to seek his revenge years later, when Puri’s son, played by Shreyas Talpade falls in love for a girl. Bruised and beaten Shreyas then employs the pehelwaan Nana Patekar as a bodyguard- and like most Priyadarshan flicks, chaos ensues.

It does look like a film to look out for, especially for the veterans. Paresh Rawal as a spurned lover will be a delight to watch. Om Puri is in element- and Asrani as the priest seems to be his usual comic self. Nana seems to be in form- with his act as the mysterious newcomer on the scene. Shreyas- we don’t have many expectations from, considering the trailer. Anjana Sukhani didn’t have much of an impression to make either.

The music keeps your head bobbing for the while that you’re listening to it, and once the trailer is done, you’re most likely to forget it. We hope that the OST of this movie does prove to be better than the first impression!

Priyadarshan has made us roll off our seats with laughter for years now- but his stories have a tendency to have a similar climax. Here’s hoping that Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal has a different tale to tell!
